a poem by  DU TU LE

only yOu know: never have I age
till loving you do I grow, awfully tall

only you know: I, the night and the past

have parted in fronts speaking ironically of one

another

the sea of memories is bulging, curved: the person

near the image

of leaves/ images/ trees:--- which secret place?

only you know: my soul is water soaked

the barge/ can hardly carry all the flesh and bones,/

bruised/

my lip disown things my heart insists on

which the dejected wind harries through the sky

only you know: time wipes out remembrance

as the grave does fidelity, used to

the absences at times full of meanings

of the one afar!---showing only I am near

only you know: my breast aches with question marks

leaves cheer up on every rain-bed, greeting

the person stopping: Leaning my shoulder, I invite

the night

both hands neatly cleaned of passions, how sad

only you know: never have I aged

till loving you do I grow awfully tall

the mountain opens its eyes listening to the river’s

soar

I grow old since remembering, how dark

only you know: human world is the gap

each one choose one’s own rule

shadow added up/ I/ measure notions each at a time

parting, dear, is by nature hereditary.
