Martha Lackritz

Martha Lackritz, currently co-editor of the bilingual Vietnam Airlines in-flight Magazine, Heritage, born in 1980 in San Antonio, Texas and educated at Brown University, from where she received her BA in Comparative Literature in 2003. She was then awarded a Fulbright grant to research and translate Vietnamese folk poetry, ca dao, for one year, after which she remained in Vietnam to write and translate. She has in preparation a collection of ca dao-in-translation, and spent the last two years to collect a number of ca dao poems and translate them into English.. The intention had been a collection of two thousand original and translated ca dao poems. The book is planned to be published in the US in 2006.
